“Camarena is quite simply the most thrilling young tenor singing today …the Mexican-born tenor has a voice that is as pure and brilliant as gold… [he] is on his way to being the next tenor superstar” The Huffington Post

With exceptional tone, expressive vocalism and world-class coloratura, Javier Camarena has risen to lofty heights over recent years. A member of an exclusive group of singers that have given encores at the Met, a rare feat that, in modern times, has otherwise only been achieved by Luciano Pavarotti and Juan Diego Flórez, it is unsurprising that Camarena has come to be considered a “… prince among tenors” The New York Times. Camarena has worked with some of the most admired international conductors, including Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta and Fabio Luisi, and has graced the stages of the world’s most important concert halls, including the Staatsoper Wien, the Opera de Paris and the Bayerische Staatsoper.

Watch Camarena’s exceptional performance of Rossini’s Sì, ritrovarla io giuro (La Cenerentola), from his debut Rosenblatt Recital at the Wigmore Hall in October 2014:

Having just concluded performing as Ernesto in a critically acclaimed revival of Don Pasquale at Opernhaus Zürich, Switzerland and The Metropolitan Opera House, New York, Camarena is currently embarking on a string of international recitals, of which this Rosenblatt Recital will be the final thrilling performance.

Coming up...

The great Italian soprano, Mariella Devia, will close our season in spectacular style on Tuesday 14 June. The Rosenblatt Recitals 2016/17 season will be announced in June 2016.

Don't forget, £5 tickets are available to students and under 35s when booking in person at the Wigmore Hall box office or over the phone on 020 7935 2141.

We do hope you can join us.

With best wishes from everyone at Rosenblatt Recitals.
