The highly-regarded Carducci Quartet opens the Festival on Friday evening at 7.30pm with a refined programme of Ravel, Haydn, Bridge and Mendelssohn. Upcoming young cellist Philip Higham performs a solo cello recital in the picturesque St Winifred’s Church (above) at 12pm on Saturday, before lyric soprano Ailyn Pérez and tenor Stephen Costello bring a taste of the Rosenblatt Recitals to the south-west, performing a concert of operatic highlights on Saturday evening at 7.30pm.

The evening continues with a sumptuous hog-roast* and late-night jazz dance with the sensational Leo Green Experience at 10.30pm. A free concert on Branscombe beach from the Trelights Brass Quintet and a beach barbeque* round off the festivities at 12pm on Sunday.

We would love to see you at one of the concerts in Branscombe this weekend.

The Rosenblatt Recitals 2013/14 season begins in just under two months, with a wealth of top singers and rising stars making appearances at Wigmore Hall over the course of the year. Highlights of the first half of the season include the series-opening recital by Spanish tenor Celso Albelo performing a programme of songs and arias by great composers of the Iberian Peninsula and South America, and illustrious Verdian baritone Leo Nucci celebrating Giuseppe Verdi’s bicentenary with the Italian Opera Chamber Ensemble, in an evening of songs and arias by the legendary composer at Cadogan Hall.
